Why
77 inches?
Building permit drawings would only get approved if the minimum required head clearance of the room was met. As per Ontario building codes 6′-5″ (77 inches) is the minimum height required for a room, path of egress and in staircases. Thereby, 77 inches started playing a crucial role in all my designs. I eventually started spending longer hours in trying to meet the minimum required height in residential basements and home addition projects. Life started revolving around the number 77. I came up with no better name then 77 inches Design Studio.
Vernacular architecture and biomimicry patterns form the basis of our design studio. We practice architectural, interior and exterior designing for commercial and residential spaces. We do building permits and execution of our designs with licensed contractors. We also do wall murals and design consultation as required.
